St Petroc - Petrockstowe

Petrockstowe

We are an active church set in the heart of the village community. Regular worship of varying styles take place each week, and the church community is active in many aspects of village life. We work closely with both the Methodist Chapel in the village, and the neighbouring churches in the Torridge Team.   We seek to be open to all, and aware of the needs of those who are actively part of the church, and those who are not.

We have our own website with more information. please click HERE.

Our regular pattern of services through the month is as follows:

1st Sunday of the month    11.00am    Holy Communion

2nd Sunday                          6.30pm    Evening Prayer

3rd Sunday                         11.00am    Family Service (with the Methodists)/ United Service (at Methodist Chapel)

4th Sunday                           6.30pm    Holy Communion

Please check in the Torridge team Link for any variations.

Recently an occasional choir has been re-formed, and ringing revived. A new band of hand bell ringers has been formed and is available to play for any Team service. A new family service is bringing fresh life and vitality.

The church has a historic connection to Buckfast Abbey in south Devon.

A window in the church recognises the Yeo family as being of local significance.
