We can help by:
Welcoming those who are new to our communities
Visiting the housebound for a chat;
Visiting the sick at home or in hospital;
Visiting in residential homes;
Delivering pastoral and congratulations cards from
loved one can be a traumatic life event that leaves a person devastated. Family
and friends are a source of great comfort but sometimes they can live a
distance away and find it hard to be there. As part of God’s family, volunteers
from our churches offer pastoral visiting and support for those in our
communities who have been bereaved
Whether people are visited as a “one-off” or on a
regular basis will depend upon individual circumstances.
Please note that we are not able to offer any form
of personal care.
These visits are not intended to replace the care
already given by family, friends and neighbours or the visits made by clergy
and ministers, but are to make sure that we have time to care for everyone.
All our volunteers are trained and supervised,
your conversations with them will be confidential and all visits will be
arranged and agreed in advance.
If you would like to know more about our visiting
scheme or if you would like to speak to someone about becoming a visitor, then
