St Petrock - Newton St Petrock
Newton St. Petrock has a historic connection to St. Petrock, one of the many Celtic saints who brought Christianity to the West Country. Subsequently it was linked to Bodmin Priory in Cornwall.
Today we are a small but active worshiping church community, sharing with our Baptist friends in the village and the other Torridge Team churches. Worship is maintained on a regular basis and pastoral care is available to all.
Our regular pattern of services through the month is as follows:
1st Sunday of the month 11.00am United Service (at Baptist Chapel)
2nd Sunday 9.30am Holy Communion
3rd Sunday 11.00am Morning Prayer (with Baptists)
4th Sunday 11.00am Holy Communion
Please see the Torridge Team Link for any variations.
We have just renewed our bells: a peal of 3. They are now able to chime by means of an electronic system.
